Merry Christmas!

Dear Friends,

It is with joy and anticipation that we wish you a Christmas filled with abundant blessings that will continue through the New Year and beyond.
In this world which is so saturated with things, our gift of faith is more and more precious. Stand fast to your love for Jesus Christ and proclaim Him daily in your love and life wherever you are. Remember always that true love is a gift from Jesus to us and we claim that love in order to return it as living faith in Him and the Trinity. “O Come Let Us Adore Him”.

Each day we are reminded that rationalism, secularism, humanism, paganism and all the other isms are out there trying to claim first place. Truly we are blest greatly to know that first place belongs to God and God alone, the one true God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
What has happened to distract us so greatly and cause us to turn another direction?
I had the great blessing in Seattle many years ago of going to a soccer game with the great Pele, a legend in soccer playing. It was a thrill.
However, the name Pele now is more often in reference to Pele the Hawaiian Goddess of Fire and Volcanoes. Can you find a story about the Mauna Loa volcanic eruptions that do not mention Pele? What Pele will do. How to appease Pele, etc. Certainly, this cannot be pleasing to the one true God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We had a friend some years ago from Indonesia and he mentioned having gone up a volcano and throwing fruit and other offerings in to quiet the gods and stop an eruption there. How is this possible? “Will there be any faith left when I return?” Luke 18:8
Let us cling ever more strongly to our gift of faith and to the protection of our angels. Let us thank our angels every day. Let us keep looking up and know that our salvation is at hand in Jesus Christ. Luke 21-28
Let us also remember, as members of the Communion of Saints, we have much support. The Church Triumphant, The Church Suffering and the Church Militant.
The Church Triumphant are those already home with God and so willing to pray and intercede for us. Included are the beloved saints who are active in our lives. Do you have a devotion to a saint(s) dear to your heart?
The Church Suffering is made up of the souls in Purgatory. Let us pray for them every day. They can also pray for us. And, on a happy note, I have heard a number of times over the years, that many go from Purgatory to Heaven on Christmas day!
Finally, the Church Militant are those of us on earth, still wayfarers. Let us keep our focus, with the help of the Holy Spirit, on Jesus. Jesus is the TRUE REASON for the Season!
Let us be thankful every day and let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and the Holy Family with a renewed attitude of gratitude, humility, faith and courage.
Merry Christmas! and God bless you and your families.

We are happy to add Annie Karto to our event. Many of you know Annie. We’ve been trying to bring Annie back for some time and it finally worked out. She will help with her joyful exuberance and music.

We are including a schedule for you at this time. It has been an interesting journey in planning this great workshop. As you know, quite a surprise the way it came about so quickly, and we appreciate your patience and confidence in our efforts.

Here is what we can tell you at this time:

January 26, 27 and 28 will be full days from 9:00am until 5:00pm for the workshop portion. The evenings will be reserved for other opportunities.

Therefore the schedule looks like this:

9:00 am to 10:30 am: Workshop
10:30 am break
11:00 Mass (Saturday Mass will be with our Bishop James Golka)
noon lunch (you are responsible for your food. We will provide information for your convenience – there are many places to enjoy a meal at the hotel and within a couple of blocks)
1:30 pm to 3:00 pm: Workshop 3:00 pm break
3:30 pm Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Workshop
5:00 pm Dinner break
7:30 pm evening program 26th to be decided
27th – Concert with Tony Melendez 28th – Healing Service

Please remember that all schedules are subject to change, but we feel quite confident with this.

Regarding the 29th, it is still in consideration. We believe that God has something, but we are not clear at this time. We are not planning a full day. We just don’t know at this time. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek God’s Will in all our efforts.

FEE: Remember that there is no fee to attend. However, we do greatly and gratefully accept your tax-deductible donations. We step out in faith with every event so that no one is excluded, but we ask you to consider from your heart what you might be able to contribute as a donation.

Every donation that comes from your heart is one that will receive the blessing of almsgiving from God. It is much nicer than a required fee which excludes those who cannot contribute, and for which there is no blessing of almsgiving.

Please also remember to keep St. Thomas Aquinas Society in mind with your end-of-the-year tax-deductible donations.

Thank you and God bless you

stthomasaquinassociety.org

We have received many registrations already. You are welcome to join us. It is important to us in planning for you, and please include both first and last name. Registrations are listed by last name and sometimes we have to contact registrants if they have not included their last name. Please keep this in prayer. We anticipate a great turnout.

Current registrations include AZ, DE, NC, OK, TX, LA, MA, NE, HI, MN, NM, CO and Ontario as well as Colorado Springs. Our number of registrations is climbing. If you don’t want to miss this special event, please register. We do not require a registration fee, but your tax- deductible donations will help greatly. Because a donation comes from your heart, you will receive a blessing from God for your generosity.

LOCATION

We are pleased to announce that the workshop will be held at the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs located at 4 South Cascade Ave, 80903. We do have an Antlers room lock. However, we encourage you to inquire about being a Wyndham Rewards Member for even greater savings.

We will also have a link to the Hilton Garden Inn a block away. Find links at our website: stthomasaquinassociety.org

Many of you probably remember Toby who handled our Elegante events. Toby is now at the Hilton Garden Inn. The room block at the Hilton will be for $124 and will include breakfast.

Watch our website for additional information as it develops. And once again, if you are a rewards member at Wyndham or Hilton, be sure to keep that in mind as well.

Thanks, God bless and see you soon – Therese
